Having the privilege to work on Mary's initial congressional campaign to the special election, I designed and developed the brand, drop lit, mailers, event and social graphics, digital ads and website build.
Mary wanted a brand that touched on elements from her Yup'ik heritage. The color palette represents the earthy elements evident in Mary’s story - ochre shades of sand and river bank, with blues representing sky and water, complimented by neutral tones of cool to warm grays. The addition of the ellum iinga represents a strong part of Mary’s identity as an Alaska Native. The symbol speaks to Mary’s free-thinking yet pragmatic style of leadership and the diversity of perspectives across Alaska she is committed to listening to.
